Marie Gorman

Marie began practicing yoga consistently in 2012 at a small community center in Pasadena, California. As a former gymnast, Marie found that yoga offered similar body movements that challenged her balance, strength and flexibility. After moving to Seattle, Washington in 2013, Marie completed her 200hr Power Yoga Teacher Training at CorePower Yoga and has since been trained in Power Yoga 1.5, Power Yoga Level 2 and Sculpt. In 2016 and 2017, Marie completed specialized trainings in Trauma-Informed Yoga through Street Yoga as well as Yoga for Self-Regulation and Trauma through Off the Mat Into the World. Marie’s love of yoga is rooted in an appreciation of its physical, emotional, mental and spiritual benefits. Outside of the studio, Marie works as a child and adolescent mental health therapist and is a licensed social worker. She aims to offer a therapeutic environment to all of her students by providing a safe and positive atmosphere. In Marie’s class, students can expect to experience a class that empowers them to be the best versions of themselves. She is committed to assisting each student in discovering their inner strength and goodness.
